Healing from your past so you can live in the present.

Meet Jess

I am so glad you’re here! Originally from Virginia, I have lived in the beautiful state of Colorado for the past 8 years. I enjoy hiking, camping, snowboarding and exploring all of the wonderful outdoor adventures of the state. I travel back to VA frequently to spend time with friends and family and couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to spend time in both places. Whether it’s the Blue Ridge or the Rockies, I am for sure a mountain gal. I have a cat and a dog that I absolutely adore and love meeting my client’s pets, too! I have a background in animal-assisted social work and enjoy adding in animal assisted interventions any time I can.

Simply put, I love what I do. I believe people are strong and resilient, even when we feel tired and broken. I see the counseling process to model the Japanese art of Kintsugi, or "golden repair;" where we can fill the pieces that feel "chipped" with gold to build a stronger, and more authentic, version of ourselves. With six years of clinical practice, I've had the privilege of working in diverse settings and areas of mental health, including community mental health, equine-assisted psychotherapy and private practice; all providing me with a well-rounded perspective on the complexities of the human mind and spirit.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients facing a wide range of clinical concerns. From addressing serious and persistent mental illness to guiding individuals through trauma reprocessing and equine assisted therapy, my goal has always been to offer a safe and compassionate space for healing and transformation. I enjoy working with concerns related to trauma and adverse experiences, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, and general feelings of being overwhelmed keeping up with the every day demands of the changing world around us.

I have a deep love for neuroscience and understanding the how and why our brains work in the ways that it does to protect us. I incorporate theories and research into our work to help you best understand yourself and your responses. I believe getting to know our nervous system and exploring ways to help us regulate and heal is the path to a better today and tomorrow.

Genuine connection is the cornerstone of effective therapy and I strive to create a space that we can journey into self-exploration, growth, recovery and resilience together.
